# Connect GitHub

> Track GitHub Actions and Copilot costs

# Connect GitHub

oncost collects GitHub billing data including Actions minutes and Copilot seats. Setup takes about 2 minutes.

## Prerequisites

* A GitHub organization
* A personal access token with `read:org` and `repo` scopes

## Setup

1. Go to **Settings > Connections > New Connection > GitHub**
2. Enter your **GitHub organization** name
3. Paste your **personal access token**
4. Click **Test Connection** to verify access
5. Click **Save**

## What oncost collects

* GitHub Actions minutes usage and cost
* Copilot seat costs
* Storage costs (Packages, LFS)
* Billing breakdown by SKU
* GitHub plan type and Copilot seat details (auto-detected from the API -- no configuration needed)
