# Quickstart

# Quickstart

Get from zero to cost visibility in 5 minutes.

## 1. Sign up

Go to [app.oncost.io](https://app.oncost.io) and create an account. You'll land on the Home page.

## 2. Connect a provider

Click **Settings > Connections > New Connection** and pick a provider. The fastest to set up:

* **Anthropic** or **OpenAI** -- paste an API key, done in 30 seconds
* **GitHub** -- create a personal access token with `read:org` and `repo` scopes
* **AWS** or **GCP** -- follow the guided setup (IAM role or service account)

## 3. Wait for the first collection

oncost runs its first data collection within minutes of connecting. You'll see a green "Connected" status on your connection card.

## 4. Explore your costs

Once data arrives:

* **Home** -- your cost intelligence feed with anomalies, budget warnings, and daily digest
* **Spend > Overview** -- total spend, top movers, period comparison
* **Spend > Explorer** -- drill into costs by service, region, account, or tag
* **Budgets** -- set monthly limits and track burn rate
